So... I should basically do this rather than the INSTALL.zip thing here? Reading this thread it looks like there are 2 possibilities, but none are working. When I try the INSTALL.zip thingy it shows me a corrupt save BUT not if I have it in the VHBL save folder, transfering works fine but upon opening the VHBL save folder the screen goes black for a brief moment and it shows the config line (I assume the same in the text file?) and then returns.
Do not put it in the VHBL save folder. Put it in its own save. Don't extract the files, just put the folder inside the .rar directly into savedata.

Well, I have it exactly like this: /Documents/PSSAVEDATA/idthingy/LWAT01337/ and inside is ONLY the INSTALL.zip and it shows up as corrupted. Sorry if I misunderstood ya.

Just to clarify:

PSVITA/PSAVEDATA/some numbers/SNES9XTYL/INSTALL.ZIP

The install.zip must be in caps to see it and there are other files besides the zip that should be included. Point is when you go into the savedata folder for your account id, the only subfolder should be the snes9x folder, there should be no other subfolder within the snes9x folder.

You need the other files from the save too, not just INSTALL.ZIP. Otherwise CMA's gonna get real grumpy.

Okay, this is getting confusing, I put the install file over to the Beta Bloc save. Transfered it and it took as long as it should for 1 GB. INSTALL.zip didn't show up in VHBL and it didn't even seem to be on the Vita. Then I completely deleted the Beta Bloc save file from Vita and re-copied it from my PC and now the folder doesn't even show up in VHBL and neither does it in the management thing.

What are you even doing? Where are you getting most of this?

Try just making a new save instead of using a Beta Bloc save. That's my last idea. ._.

Sigh, now upon opening the folder the screen goes black and shows "Config File: ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/VHBL01234/hblconf.txt" for a very, very brief moment and then returns to the XMB

EDIT: also it still didn't seem it copied the install file over. the save I used it still at 160KB instead of the 1 GB
