Downloading psn data without updating psVita?

Well, I really have no idea then.
Tried everything I could think of.
Must be a default setting buried in there somewhere that I have off.

*Edit - OK, it works, but not with my 1.80 Vita. Hopefully there will be a solution for that.
I guess in the US some games are still not able to be downloaded, but the option was there so I tried.
Other games work though.

But, you don’t even need to update your psvita just to get the Killzone: Mercenary beta. You see, you just have to use your PC and purchase the game at the psn store online using your psn account. Link below for US:

The next thing you need to do is to queue the purchased game by going to your download list at the same link above with your psn account. Then turn on your psvita’s wifi and restart. A minute after starting your Psvita the download will automatically start. It really works. I don’t know if there is a blog about this, I am too lazy to search for it online. But, I wonder why not many people knows about this. Too bad, you must have already lost your game exploit.)

Ok, now that everyone is looking in to this. There is something wrong with that post, in that, at that time you can't really use the Killzone game because it is firmware bound. I'm sorry for that. And, I had proven that it only works for firmware right before the latest. This is true. So, 3.00 FW, enjoy your lots of time to download exploits that will be released by the devs. Like for instance the games that got patch by SONY on firmware 3.01(available for 3.00 FW) and 3.00(if you were at 2.60 at that time).

That is of course if SONY does not do something about it, now that it got their real attention. But I am thinking they can't really do something about this because this has been there for so long and it's always there every time. Well, let's see.

Anyway this doesn't have any use for me now that Tn-V4 is going to be out. I am just not ready to give up a 64MB RAM over a 32MB. Besides, I don't have a PS4 and I am not interested in VITA games. I am sorry to have offended anyone.

Oh ***, they already did. by not getting the exploited games back at the psn store. Like the Arcade Darts, until now... Same fate will happen to the new exploits.

Ok my experience on this is that it somehow it works, but i need to clear a few things out, i tried with a demo, and it is actually downloading from the queue, but i can't really tell if it works or not, since i am on the latest firmware, now i do have a question in order for this to work your vita needs to be signed in to your psn account, you do all the stuff on the pc and when you restart your vita the download starts right? now the question how would you connect to your psn account with a lower firmware if it blocks you and tells you need to update the firmware?

This only works on firmwares right before the latest firmware e.g. 3.00 because the latest is 3.01. I’ve done this before even without updating. that’s why I have two exploits. Gamocracy and Arcade Darts. This is just the same for the proxies, only works for the Firmware right before the latest. After that(after another FW), it did not work anymore. This is proven.

yup and that link is where i came from... ok i got to give it a new try, it doesn't seem to make sense for me yet, although in theory it works, i am on latest firmware so every test is flawed by default maybe when 3.02 comes out

I got it to work myself on my 3.00 Vita.
I think the reason it probably didn't work for me the first time was because of choosing certain exploit games. Any other game worked for me.
Probably still some kind of FW check for some games (in US at least) in there somewhere.
It didn't work for my other Vita on 1.80 though.
