I've been meaning to, thanks for the reminder.

Redownload the zip I linked in the OP, do not unzip it, or modify anything to do with it, and try again. If that fails then that's very strange.

There are more Mega Man games than anything in there :3
(as crazy as it sounds I only have roms to games I own! 0__0)
(well not counting Beta's/Unreleased Games)

I should probably buy a Zelda game since I have never played any :/
I assume the GBA games are the cheapest so I might take a look at my local Gamestop but anywho we are getting off-topic ^__^

Thanks for the tutorial but, I still can't get gPSP to work.

I've tried two methods.

First I simply add files to the INSTALL archive, the bios file and roms and then transfer and install via VHBL. This way I can actually install gPSP but, it never recognizes the bios file no matter where it is and I can't get past the error screen.

The second method I try involves fully extracting the INSTALL archive, adding the bios file and roms to the correct locations and re-zipping it using the settings detailed in the tutorial. After I transfer it, VHBL doesn't even give me the option to install gPSP.

I really don't know what I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Follow your second method, but this time make sure that you use zero compression if you haven't done so.
PSP 2001 - TA-085 - 6.61 PRO-C2
PS Vita 3G - PCH-1101 - 3.65 HENkaku Ensō
Maxwest Nitro 4 phone - Android 5.1
Laptop - Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5974 - Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

It worked this time so I must have been overlooking something. But, now when I try to launch gPSP I get "Error in load/start homehook module."
