VHBL 2.06, question about gpSP

Post by silens » Wed Mar 27, 2013 7:00 pm

Hi, I have the VHBL on my 2.06 PS Vita and then I installed the gpSP, and it's working, but now I have 2 questions.
If I want to add a new ROM, do I have to re-pack everything, re-transfer on my PS Vita and re-install the gpSP?
The games are working, but I can't save using game save system, I mean I can save using the gpSP menu, but not using the original game saving, and some games, like Zelda, requires you to create a save file to play, but it says that the file is corrupted, is there any way to solve this?

For adding new roms yes that is how you do it. I have the same question about the game saves though. I found that game saves i had from my psp would load properly but i can not make new saves.

Strange. Ingame save works fine for me as does the battery function. Perhaps try creating a save on your computer using a emulator then copy it to your vita.

Is that what you did to make it work? What emulator I'm supposed to use to make the save file, the vba?
What is the battery function?

I am also having saving issues with gpSP. I can save with only the in game save. But after I exit and reload vhbl, the emulator acts like I just loaded the game fresh for the first time.

Edit** Got both types of game saves to properly work now. It was the version of gpSP that I was using that was the problem. I was trying to use an older one that I have had for a long time that I used on my psp and my two brothers' psp's.The VHBL ready one here on wololo.net works just fine. :)

I also made sure I deleted any previous versions of gpSP before I copied this one over to my vita and installed it.

Tried again, but still nothing :(
Why? What's wrong with it? Is there any specific setting that needs to be set to be able to save the game? I really don't know what to do anymore...help me please

EDIT : ok, I took out my old PSP and used the gpSP on that to create a save file, right after starting the game, and well I did it that way

Try this. Load up the emulator and the game you want to play. Then press triangle. Go down to "misc". Set "Update SRAM" to "Automatic"

That might do it.

I also notice the settings go back to default every time I load up the emulator so I have to manually change it back to automatic every time I start it up.
