i think it's best to wait, but when you update, it'll take longer for you to play homebrews i believe...

Go ahead and update, there is no publicly released homebrew yet. Sony can't block what they can't test.

Really 1.05? So the 01.050?
Nice :D

I just know about 01.000 (1.00), 01.000.001.000 (1.00b), 01.500 (1.50) and 01.510 (1.51).

Can you make a photo of the system-info of your vita, i want to be sure that ill list ALL avaible PSVita FWs in this new scene, like i did in PSP Scene.

I can confirm 1.05 exist and came onboard on a friends wifi model. 1.03 also exist, maybe its 3g starter OFW?
way to keep a secret malloxis...erm jeerum
Hmm, a demo user mode exploit doesn't seem as important anymore, I wonder why... xP

You can use OpenCMA to get CMA working without updating, but at this point I see no reason not to just install the update. As pointed out above, with nothing homebrew related made public, there is nothing for them to block yet.

I am on 1.510 now and from what I can see the exploit we use for HBL isn't patched. As it's been said above, Sony can't patch an exploit they don't know about (otherwise, they would have patched it before selling the device).
Based on my current knowledge, it's also not worth giving up on vita features just for the ongoing HBL work. If HBL is what motivates you, get a psp 3000 or a pspGo, and you'll get homebrews AND CFW, in much better conditions that the things HBL can provide for now on the vita.

Edit: about Sony not knowing about the exploits: it needs to be emphasized that the Vita logs all sorts of things when a process crashes, and possibly sends that information to Sony servers. People investigating the Vita security should be careful about this.
If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

well if they didn't patch your hbl user exploit then we can assume they didn't retrieve information about it no ?
also I just found a new psn user exploit, gonna save it for vita too ^^ (my game got a demo too, but I'm still working at making this bug exploitable with the demo right now)

hope the one you adapted hbl for isn't the same haha (but from what was said about it, I can say at 99% mine is a different game lol)
