Need to deactivate Vita with Henkaku - Help !

Post by rich6619 » Fri Feb 10, 2017 1:18 am

hey guys,

I'm selling an extra vita I had with henkaku on it. It is activated to my PSN account so I need to deactivate it but I am unable to use the Sony Site and use the deactivate all option (used this once in the last 6 months), and obviously I cannot sign into psn on the vita to deactivate. What are my options ?
Any help would be much appreciated !

I did email them at one point, or maybe start a chat session, and this got me around the whole wait 6 months limit. They unlinked my account from all devices that way. Worth a shot?

Delete tm0:act.dat (activation data)
and then restore system at (settings) [Format] {Restore System]

keep in mind sonys site will still say your device is activated even though its not,
just once the time comes use deactivate all

this WILL deactivate your system. you wont be able to use purchaced games, or anything and restored system means they cant steal ur login details

Just boot the Vita into Recovery Mode and restore from there. Worked for me.

*To boot into Recovery, from full powered off, hold R Trigger, PS Button and Power buttons all at the same time
