Vita disconnects when trying to update firmware offline

Post by cloudfe » Thu Jul 14, 2016 7:43 pm

It's been three hours, and I've lost my cool...

I'm trying to manually update the Vita to 3.18 using the offline method. Qcma finds the console, but as soon as I click on "Update by Connecting to a PC", the Vita disconnects, and the error message is "The latest version of the system software is already installed. (C3- 12049-6)".
I also noticed that when I try to refresh Qcma's database, it says "No PS Vita system has been registered", doesn't matter is the Vita is connected or not.

Here's a few screenshots of my settings:

I'll go mad if I don't solve this :(

That may be a valid way of doing it but I did it a different way. I just routed my traffic through a proxy I set up and then had it serve the xml file from my local machine when the Vita requested it. The local one had the locations changed to an file location on my local network (pointing to a web server) and then it grabbed the PUP from there.

It's been a *long* time since I did that though so I have no idea what works or not still. Just tossing ideas out there to get you brainstorming vs. going insane. :)
