How to do the Whitelist hack on PSTV v.3.60?

Post by rsn8887 » Tue Jun 14, 2016 8:29 pm

Is it possible to apply the Whitelist hack to a freshly updated 3.60 Playstation TV? If yes, how do I do it?

I would love to play Vita Wipeout on the big screen :)

Only possible to install on a console 3.52 or below. It is possible to run the whitelist hack on a 3.60 PSTV, but it is currently impossible to install it to one without the use of an exploitable console. You would have to install it on a 3.52 console first, do a complete system back up and restore this back up to your 3.60 console.

There are people doing this as a service online, I know hackinformer is one person doing this.

Thanks for the reply. I wish Sony hadn't decided to put a whitelist on the PSTV, what a terrible idea. It is almost as if they wanted to kill PSTV from the very beginning. Luckily I only paid $20 or so for mine, and it still runs Binding of Isaac and TxK just fine. :)

The whitelist is because some games have problems on the PS TV, such as any that use the camera or motion sensor.

Many games work well enough though.

Gravity Rush, for instance.
