Rejuvenate help needed can't boot homebrew

Hi. I normally don't ask anything I research and research until I find the solution myself. But this one I'm stumped.
I have a vita on 3.18 I have dev assistant installed.
when I attempt to load a homebrew the cmd screen comes up on the PC runs through the process vitadefiler boots on the vita, screen then goes black
The cmd window goes through its process then stops on vita exploited
But the vita remains black screen
After a minute or so the cmd window says cannot connect to vita server (or something similar. Will check when I get home)

Any ideas? Thanks
