[Noob Guide] Video tutorials on the basics of VHBL

Post by Truffs » Wed Mar 27, 2013 6:42 pm

Okay i made two separate threads with tutorials but i thought it would be easier to put all of the tutorials in one thread. Will be updating with more tutorials when I see enough threads asking for something. Enjoy

Quick FAQ:
-What is VHBL?
"VHBL is a port of HBL for the vita that allows you to run homebrew/emulators through the psp emulator on your vita. It will not allow for psp .iso to be run unless there is a kernel exploit.
- Can i buy Apache Overkill to do the exploit?
"Yes you can buy it Sony put it back up in the PSN store, but to get it onto your vita that is running 2.06 you will need a PS3 and open CMA. I will update thread when I find out more about this method. "
-When will another exploit be released and how can I find out the name of the exploitable game?
"There are a few new exploits in the works. Not sure when they will be released but probably on a different firmware than 2.06. To find out the name of the exploitable game before it is taken off of the PSN store I suggest checking Wololo.net. They will post the name of the next game on the blog.
- What is Open CMA?
"Open CMA is allows the vita to use CMA without having internet access. This is useful because if you have a VHBL exploit it will not update your vita's firmware getting rid of the exploit."
Great thread. I find it quite useless though.

"No Sony 48hrs after the exploit release took Apache Overkill off of the PSN store."

You should mention that the games are put back on PSN store after some time and way to get it with ps3 without updating

You can use a PS3 to buy it and transfer it to your Vita using the opsnCMA trick ;)
