What is the Vita Emulators Installer?
As the name suggests is a homebrew that will download and install your favorite emulator/homebrews, considering the hassle involved often install a simple emulator/homebrew on the vita we got the idea of this.

I just would like to add that you should add Dosbox. Runs quite a few games on the vita, I am currently playing Amazon Trail again. Haven't played that game in ages.

I am using dosbox from here http://www.pspdosbox.co.uk/. I added an icon provided by MadZiontist, because it seemed to have a currupt icon. Then I had to change the builtin browser, as the one that link provided wouldn't even start, caused a crash. I also edited the dosbox.conf a bit, boosting the speed, as well was jumping the ram to 10mb. I am sure I did some other stuff too, but I can't remember. Ended up boosting Amazon Trails speed from unusable to more then fine.

Now I know you don't want to go to all that trouble I did, as it did take me a bit of time to get everything right, so here is a link to "my" dosbox, sans the games folder (Sorry :)): http://www.sendspace.com/file/6uuifr

During my "trek" to get it to work, I also found that the psp section of the DOSboxWiki was lacking, just a bunch of post saying people should really add something here :). So I updated that a bit. Not great, but it is now a good jumping off point for people. Much better then before anyways. You can find that here: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Psp_dosbox

List of games I have on my vita that are usable
Amazon trail 1st http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Trail
Challenge of the Ancient Empires http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge_ ... t_Empires!
Battletech http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BattleTech#Original_game
Carmen Sandiego series (though a bit slow at times) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_San ... _series%29
Dinopark Tycoon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DinoPark_Tycoon
Eye of the Beholder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_the ... eo_game%29
Megatraveller 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MegaTravel ... Conspiracy
Oregon Trail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Oregon ... eo_game%29
SimCity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimCity_%2 ... eo_game%29
Midnight Rescue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Rescue!

The Learning Company games need a custom crafted bat, or you will constantly be pressing the hotkeys to change the keys around.

Sadly, I couldn't get Fallout to work/wasn't willing to wait long enough to see if it really would load. Also couldn't get my favorite Learning Comapany game to play, Gizmo's and Gadgets. Crashes saying it needs a vga card, but it bloody well has a vga card. S'ok though, I just made it into a deb. :) Also couldn't get my favorite dos game to even start, with the same error. Ablion is bloody awesome. Though it was released in 95, and I doubt dosbox on psp on vita has the power to emu it, even if it would start. Come on native vita dosbox.

Fraid Dune 2 doesn't work. Sorry.

However, Command Keen does, and as it is shareware I figgered you might want to have it added to the install. It would just add 291kb's to the unziped package. That way people can have something to play as soon as they install it.

By the way, the shortcut to go to joystick mode, needed for Keen, is L/R/Down/Select.

Btw2, Warcraft works too. :)

Dune 2 is so sweet... so many memories . :(

The problem in here not the zip size, is the zip content.. luadev dosen't unzip folders, only files that are in zip root, if i create just single folder inside the zip that will not be unziped... so, if X emulator have, for example, 50 files in 6 folders the 50 files need to go on zip root, unpack then in a temp folder and then move it one by one to your respective folder... :?
But i got a plan to simplify this..just need to rewrite something.. and then include more folders will be very easy. :D

Thats a god idea... maybe a main menu with options like "Emulators", "Homebrews", etc... this can be done easily, just need time to do.

Thank you.

I could edit the dosbox config, and get rid of the folder if you want. That way you can still have a browser, while having no folders in the zip. Could also do that with keen, I suppose, but that would add 36 more, were as just VC would add 15. A few of that 15 I could probable remove, 3 docs, an ico, a help folder, setup, etc.

I like that idea. I have tried a few of the psp specific ones, and none of them work. A kinda of PSN for homebrew.
