You pressed the Muffin Button, didn't you?
Thats actually the exit button to go back to the PSP menu on a regular PSP. On Vita since there is no legitimate home screen it black screens.

@Dutt, it might be crashing probably because you don't have the ISO folder on the root of your memory stick.
Im only using VHBL so it shouldn't need the ISO folder.. and i have no way to create one as when i try open the keyboard it freeze's..

I tried the VHBL version on my PSP and the bsod came up when I had no ISO folder. Gonna have to wait for Acid_Snake to fix it.

I have an ISO folder and i just get a blackscreen at my Vita.

try this one, it should work regardless of the iso folder being there or not:
