Looks like a long time has passed since he organized his donation project, now he does a new article on PS Vita again.

Check it out: http://streetskaterfu.blogspot.de/2012/ ... ths_9.html

Okay?

I guess I'm not enough of a "hacker" to see the usefulness of his info.

i'm not saying that it's useful, just noticed that noone noticed ;)

to "extract" a firmware (I guess you mean PSP2UPDAT.PUP), a decryption key is needed. It is currently unknown to the public.

who knows, maybe he still managed to acquire a devkit
i see he even deleted the donation article now

This is Quite Relevant, and important, if he did get a DEv, thats Great for him, but if he keeps the scene in the loop Praze him ;) but as of now, if we don't have the public key for 1.81, which i assume he has, he could sign his own "Apps" meaning he has openly got inside the vitas OS , instead of only the sandboxed pspemu. possibly being able to put psp iso on home screens ~ one step closer to understanding, or createing a Vita CFW

Pre-release FWs used the PSP encryption keys.
