i have found a way to download motorstorm arctic edge to a ps3, and to transfer it onto a vita with fw 1.61. i am testing right now if VHBL is working too, or if the game is patched. i hope the patch is in the firmware not in the game.

Yes, Sony patches the firmware and not the games, as games are developed by independent companies, so they don't have the full right to tinker in them.
I will ask you however, to describe how you managed to do this.

How is it possible to transfer the game to the Vita without asking you to update? There is no Open CMA on the ps3 as of right now.

lol one fail for sony if it is true, i still have 1.61. Would be nice to get motorstorm since it is a nice game and also vhbl with it =] since i missed it

here is my tutorial:
u need:
a vita (my is on fw 1,61)
a ps3 with ofw 4.11
and a PC or Laptop
OpenCMA r3
Charles Web debugging Proxy

download motorstorm on your ps3 from store

then install Charles and set it up

then set the proxy settings on your vita

(install OpenCMA r3, you know that it will work, if your PC or Laptop transfer files between ur vita and PC without to update) u maybe dont need this step, but i did it so

Then connect ps3 and vita via usb, start CMA, and voila you should be able to transfer.

pretty cool, imho that wouldn't be surprising to somehow manage to do that using a ps3, I don't have one to test though lol

Wait. I thought they knocked down the proxy thing a few days ago during the maintenance. Is there another xml out or something that corrects this?
