Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
Why dose this not work?. Here is what I did, unrar a signed psp homwbrew, copy it to C:\Users\XXXXXXXXX\Documents\PS Vita\PGAME\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. (I am using open cma if it matters) , then I went on my vita and went to copy the game and it showed the game as corrupt data. My gusse would be that its cause its missing a psn licence file or that it wasn't actually a signed homebrew. Maby I should try a few moar.
Re: Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
Assuming you are running the homebrew through VHBL, you need to ensure the homebrew is in an uncompressed .zip format named install.zip, and placed inside the folder of a PSP savegame (though not the savegame VHBL needs to run.)
If not, this is because the PSVita cannot run signed PSP homebrews.
Also, signed homebrews do not have a license file, they are encrypted in a way that is perceived by a PSP as an eboot that was made by Sony.

Re: Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
ONLY savedata can be copy to vita directly. Others must be download from psn. "xxxx\Documents\PS Vita\PGAME\xxxx" only save the backup of PSVITA.PHtmlP241 wrote:Why dose this not work?. Re: Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
The Vita and CMA add an additional layer of signing/encryption.
This is why you cannot use Media Go to copy to your Vita, and this is why Signed homebrews cannot be installed. Basically, if you didn't get it from the Sony store, it's in the wrong format.
As an exercise, you can try to copy a PSP game from your vita to your computer, and see what it looks like.
We wouldn't be bothering with VHBL if it was possible to copy signed homebrews to the emulator in the first place

If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

I though it might have been a because we can kinda thing, like when work on hbl continued after homebrew signing was possiblewololo wrote: We wouldn't be bothering with VHBL if it was possible to copy signed homebrews to the emulator in the first place
Re: Runing Signed Homebrew on the Vita
At the time, work on HBL continued because there was no PSP (L)CFW for 6.39 and 6.60 yet, and because some signed homebrews do not function on PSP OFW, but can run when used through a signed HBL.PHtmlP241 wrote:I though it might have been a because we can kinda thing, like when work on hbl continued after homebrew signing was possiblewololo wrote:We wouldn't be bothering with VHBL if it was possible to copy signed homebrews to the emulator in the first place
Signing for the PSVita is an entirely new thing that, currently, we cannot do.
