VHBL compatibility
VHBL compatibility
I was wondering if VHBL compatibility has been already tested. I am particularly interested in SNES and Genesis emulators.

Re: VHBL compatibility
Wololo said that some of the older emus are compatible but some for the newer games (like N64) arent compatible at all...chortya wrote:I was wondaring if VHBL compatibility has been already tested. I am particularly interested in SNES and Genesis emulators.

snes9xTYL and picodrive work fine from what I could test:

If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

Probably not the best idea.chortya wrote:Perfect! Now I can throw my PSP away
VHBL can easily be patched out by Sony once it is released, requires you to purchase a game and run it every time you desire to use an emulator, newer PSVita games will require OFW updates to run (as both PSP and PS3 games have shown) that cannot be currently bypassed, and the PSP can do far more than just run one or two user mode emulators.
Even if you only use your PSP for emulators, keep it. Its far safer to know you have them than to buy a PSVita and a game to run VHBL and know you won't be able to play newer games (or soon be able to go online similar to PS3 CFW) and may lose the usermode exploit running VHBL at any time to an update that even wololo will tell you, doesn't need a FW patch to close.

Re: VHBL compatibility
It's a shame that not everything will be compatible, I like the D-Pad on the Vita a lot better than the PSP.
