Features/and comparisons
So I've been looking into a minecraft clone. There's several on android several on xbla and alot on pc... How close is lamecraft to minecraft. From looking around on the forums it seems it might be dead... I know there are some mods... I saw a multicraft mod and I think like 2 others but don't remember the names. Are any of these mods close to minecraft? ( when I say close I mean at least day and night cycles, mods friendly and unfriendly, and Redstone with working currents and slime) all the logs for the mods and what not really don't tell me a whole lot of information.

@demon butter, try lamecraft redstone mod winter edition, which might not work on vita..
If you want to give it a try contact jc-garma and xian nox, who are his top fans.

I'm a fan of anyone who is racist, sexist, profane, copyright violating, and has problems with authority.
Regardless, the abysmal behaviour in this subforum ends, now.
Any further references/links/videos to GPL violating lamecraft mods, complaining at moderators for enforcing the rules, harassment of lamecraft users who support GPL, will result in instant warnings.
Also, warnings to Codewave and LiudvikasLTU, you obviously should know better.
As for the OP, sorry for the circus.

Its alright, you are of no fault in asking. Simply put, we've had an issue with modders that simply don't like following GPL as well the forum rules. Its highly unfortunate, since it all could have been solved so easily.
I hope you find a minecraft clone for your Vita that is enjoyable for you.

Re: Features/and comparisons
Features you say?
Original lamecraft and multicraft are pretty much a map viewer/map editor. iirc, lamecraft had day/night cycles as well; multicraft goes on about making the same code available on multiple platforms (PSP, PSV, Android, PC, PS3).
Several mods added more blocks to it.
As far as redstone mod goes, it added redstone in the first revisions, and crafting later on. The problem with this was that it totally broke compatibility with 1k PSPs/Vitas. The last (unreleased at all afaik) version also had braindead mobs.
The other one you may want to check out is s4inexcraft. [thread] Can't tell you the exact features of this one, but you can download it and check for yourself. Not sure about compatibility either. s4inex never made any trouble, so I don't know much about it. (Shows how much I'm interested in lamecraft.)
None of the mods as far as I know add mod/plugin support.
As far as making a minecraft clone goes, keep in mind that if you mod lamecraft/multicraft, you need to publish your source code as well since they're both GPL'd. Apart from that, WIP threads aren't encouraged unless you have any significant progress to show (eg. an alpha/beta/w/e download).
