Playstation TV Region Free?

Is it true that the PlayStation TV is only region free after the 3.30 firmware update? Looking to buy some U.S imported games. I'm on 3.20 firmware on a EU PSTV.

I don't know if it helps, but I have a US PSTV, on 3.51, but I have one Japanese game (J-Stars Victory Vs.) works with no hiccups.

As long as its a cartridge it doesn't matter where its from, The restriction was only for accounts

Remember if the game has DLC content, like an online pass for a fast example, you won't be able to use it due the account restriction.
