Ps vita - updating a game without updating the system?

I've got a question here: is it possible to update a Ps vita game without updating the system? Because the developers sometimes publish a update for the game to fix some problems.

I didn't touch the update-button, because i'm to scared that it will also update the system. And i would like to stay on my current firmware.

Really? Don't you have to sign in the PSN store to get the update for the game?

Same for 3.36, update system is not required for update games.
