PSP Crash with psplink screenshots

Post by z2442 »

Hey guys!

I was reading through some of the tutorials here on the site and decided to try my hand at finding psp gavesave crashes. I found this one! I do not think it is exploitable as it is not overwriting ra. So I wanted to post it here to see if anyone else can make more of this than I can?

*I used a "A" to cause the crash btw showing 41's in the S0,A2,T4,s4

I think I have run into something, if it is the same, and I think it is, it is not useful

a0, s0, t0 etc. afaik. are registers used only when passing arguments to other functions. As this does not influence pc, or ra (the locations where the current instruction is, or where the instruction would return) this is not useful to my consent.
