UMD Auto Start to load CFW

Post by OldGnashburg » Fri Apr 24, 2015 4:19 pm

Can a person overwrite data on an UMD and replace a Game with something like PRO CFW Fast Recovery on it and then use the option in the PSP's setting's to Automatically load the UMD and therefore auto load PRO CFW on startup? Or is it possible for a person to find a UMD Game that can have it's save data exploited so whenever you load the UMD it will automatically start your Custom Firmware? Is any of this possible?

Sorry, UMD's are read-only, so you would need to have the hardware to write data "burn" onto a empty UMD (that is if you also find empty UMDs). And why would you like to start a UMD to run CFW? As far as I know Pro CFWs don't need to run a special game in order to be installed, just run the installer directly from the XMB and after that every time you turn off and on your PSP you should use Pro Fast Recovery (if you have a PSP 3000 and Go since the other models can get CFW permamently installed) again from XMB.

You can do this on the PSP since the eboots to install/recover Pro CFW are "signed", that means that they are recognized as official games/apps.

I'll leave a link for the Pro CFW download:
