What are callbacks for?

Post by DaNiC » Mon Apr 06, 2015 12:47 pm

Hey there,
I've recently downloaded the PSPSDK and i've begun to play around with the samples and ran some of them as well and i was wondering as i stated in the title.. What are callbacks for? Why are they needed?
In the wikibooks tutorial they more less said, dont worry about it, but since im curious i thought i'd ask..
Thanks :)

They're used for calling back :D

Basically, when something happens (File read/write, screen flicker, etc) it'll report (callback) to the callback function.

The callback function would be anything from printing a message, checking the written file contents, add to a timer.
