maybe we can get ctf themes on 6.20!!

THIS WAS RECOVERED FROM ADVANCEDPSP.TK this may not be the right place i wasn't sure ware to put it this seamed like the best place

ok....i was looking around the flash1:/ files and saw that it had a theme folder....and when i didnt have a theme installed it was empty...but when i did have a theme installed it had a .dat file......so maybe....... when you install a custom theme for cfw users only a .dat file will appear and other ppl with regular 6.20 firmware can copy the cfw theme .dat that was created on a cfw psp and overwrite the one in the flash1:/ and then have that custom theme when you restart the psp!!!

will this be able to work? please correct me if im wrong..... and maybe if someone that has 2 psp's with 1 having cfw installed on a psp and the other with 6.20 can try it. and since it is a Custom theme we will be able to distibute the files right!!

ok it wont work for 6.20 because of the difference in the icons....such as on a 5.00m33 it dont have the digital comics or sensme icon...
but for the people who have 6.00 and below it will work because the sensme icons and the digital comics icons are not present.....and you will be able to use the .dat files created by the 5.50gen cfw....maybe, if it does work..... someone needs to test it.

unless we figure out a way to create a 6.20 custom theme that only cfw can install..... and make the .dat file with a software that someone created, that makes a .dat file from the .ctf or .ptf file so that we can put it on the psp........i dont think 6.20 will be running themes that are only for custom firmware users

on- topic, if someone wants to create a free theme, just go to his website. If looking for psp official ones, search and you'll certainly find one. The custom ones like CXMB or flash0 that require flash access we can't get them... yet.

Usually custom themes mean that they are NOT xmb. For example an old xbox360 one or the nxe.

exactly. dont forget that ctf themes needed the "cxmb prx plugin" for it to work and that requires cfw. i never tried chickhen so idk if ctf's would work. and if i were you, i wouldnt go messing with any files and folders on your psp system because you'll never know, maybe u might brick ur psp. i dont think there will ever be cfw for 6.XX. the only thing you'll see on 6.XX are things like HBL.

We'd have to be able to use the CXMB plugin on 6.xx in order for this to work. Even that's needed when we have CFW. Simply copying a .dat file won't be enough (if it even produces one).

psp official themes are housed in the extension flash 1 CUSTOMTHEME.DAT, but if you rename a ptf really if it works with most installed in the theme folder, with the CTF the same, rename to ptf and work, but what I have no clear is that in excess of 6.00 FIRMS this to be effective for the reader of comics, perhaps with ptftools can be created by changing some things on the icon to add comics

I do not think I understood, in the flash 0 themes are housed officers included in the firmware, I load my themes from memory stick, forgive my mistake in saying flash 1 before
