well not "brick" but it did destroy my version of linux and just refused to work anymore even destroyed my grub menu got grub to work again then dual booting windows would not work after all that my last resort was punching my laptop but for some reason that didnt fix it either =) so had to use my HP recovery disks

exactly what happened =(i think he reinstalled grub that way but it didnt find his windows
