8 characters ALL CAPS

Post by Anhnghia » Sat Jan 05, 2013 6:55 pm

Not sure where this post belongs but I found it interesting how it may relate to the PS Vita exploit scene.

I was at an AT&T store yesterday to handle some business. As I was waiting in the front I over heard one of their "Specialist" tell a customer, "You need 8 characters and they have to be all caps." I focused my attention towards the direction that they were in expecting to see a PS VIta! Haha!!! The customer had an iPhone with him and they were saying something about the cloud service.

Does this file naming system have anything to do with software security or exploits? Just curious fellas.
