What games do you mean? And whether there is an example saves 128kb and what the game creates such saves?
I have a PSP-1004, can therefore shows MAX BUF ROM: 16MB

I do not know why need fix 32MB, the first time I hear about it. For example, I tested a few games:

Code: Select all

1. Bleach Advance - 32.0 MB (33 554 432 bytes)
2. Kingdom Hearts - Chain of Memories - 32.0 MB (33 554 432 bytes)
3. Mother 3 - 32.0 MB (33 554 432 bytes)
4. Riviera - The Promised Land - 32.0 MB (33 554 432 bytes)
5. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team - 32.0 MB (33 554 432 bytes)
All these games are well loaded and running on my PSP-1004.
And saves good jobs on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon [POKE DUNGEON B24E 01 0].

Simply, if a large 32MB game in a ZIP-archive then it will be a long time in the TEMP unpacked, you just need to wait a minute, there is a diode will blink rapidly.
If you do not want to wait, and to play immediately loaded, then unzip and run *.gba.
Generally I normally work all of these games, even on the emulator, which 1st post Build 225 ;)
Hello greetings, thank you for updating this amazing emulator. loving the graphical fixes you've brought to it.

Is there a way to set the MAX ROM BUF: to 32MB manually? I have a psp 3001 and it still shows max rom buf: 16mb
This did not happen on my previous version of gpsp kai test 3 build 122. I'm worried it can lead to rom problems in the future. Thanks for your reply!

Use save or savestate – http://www.mediafire.com/download/7ts7j ... ce+SAV.zip

In "Grand Theft Auto Advance" has a bug that after starting dialogues game crashes.
Save allows you to bypass the damaged portion in the dump of the Rom.

Saving files expanded in GBA/SAV folder.
The name of conservation should be exactly the same as ZIP archive, which is ROM gba under any name.
When loading a game, choose load of preservation, and not as a new game.

I can only lay out for you an excerpt from the file "src\gpSP-kai-test\documents\readme_original.txt"
readme_original.txt
-- Cheats --

Currently, gpSP supports some functionality of Gameshark/Pro Action Replay
cheat codes. To use these, you must first make a file with the same name
as the ROM you want the cheat code to apply to, but with the extension .cht.

To write a code, write the type of model it is, gameshark_v1, gameshark_v3,
PAR_v1, or PAR_v3. gameshark_v1/PAR_v1 and gameshark_v3/PAR_v3 respectively
are interchangeable, but v1 and v3 are not! So if you don't know which
version it is, try both to see if it'll work.

Then, after that, put a space and put the name you'd like to give the cheat.

On the next several lines, put each cheat code pair, which should look like
this:

AAAAAAAA BBBBBBBB

Then put a blank line when you're done with that code, and start a new code
immediately after it. Here's an example of what a cheat file should look
like:

gameshark_v3 MarioInfHP
995fa0d9 0c6720d2

gameshark_v3 MarioMaxHP
21d58888 c5d0e432

gameshark_v3 InfHlthBat
6f4feadb 0581b00e
79af5dc6 5ce0d2b1
dbbd5995 44b801c9
65f8924d 2fbcd3c4

gameshark_v3 StopTimer
2b399ca4 ec81f071

After you have written the .cht file, you have to enable the cheats
individually in the game menu. Go to the Cheats/Misc menu, and you will
see the cheats; turn them on here. You may turn them on and off as you
please, but note that some cheats may still hold after you turn them off,
due to the nature of the system. Restart to completely get rid of them.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This is still very work in progress! I basically added this in only 1.5
or so hours, and I don't have a lot of time right now to work on it
before releasing. So I'll probably improve it later.

Not all of gameshark's features are supported, especially for v3. Only
basic cheats will work, more or less.

Cheats may be unstable and may crash your game. If you're having problems
turn the cheats off.

Really, there's no guarantee that ANY cheats will work; I tried a few and
some seem to work, others are questionable. Try for yourself, but don't
expect anything to actually work right now. Do expect this feature to
improve in future versions.

Sorry for the "you can do it yourself" question, but does linking games work? I only have one PSP but am curious if it's even possible, in case it's not working.

Thanks!

Please check this hotfix: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7nrtt ... ttings.zip

Earlier yes, settings D-PAD and Joystick are linked.
I separated settings D-PAD and Joystick separately.
with that hotfix i still cant map joystick to load/save state...
please fix that..

thanks.

The emulator does not seem to detect I have a PSP-2000 because I only get 16mb of Max ROM Buff. Tested on 3 PSP-2000's (2 x TA-085v1 and TA-085v2 . All 6.60 ME-2.3).

Other gpSP emulators seem to detect I have extra memory available though. I will use build 152 because I like the extra memory.

Code: Select all

UO gpSP Kai v3.4 test 4 build 225 = 16mb MAX
UO gpSP Kai v3.5 Mod = 32mb MAX
UO gpSP Kai v3.4 test 3 build 152 = 32mb MAX
Edit1:

32mb Max ROM Buff achieved when Unlock Extra Memory is enabled from Recovery Menu... If I disable Unlock Extra Memory, it is 16mb again but other gpSP emulators are still 32mb Max ROM Buff.

• PSV 1k 32GB 3.60 HENkaku • 3x PSP 2k (TA-085v1) 128GB 6.60 ME-2.3 • PSP 2k (TA-085v2) 32GB 6.60 ME-2.3 •

And what is the difference between 16 and 32, or you just love the number 32?

32 is better. :)

32mb ROM / 32mb buff = Faster loading, less glitchy
32mb ROM / 16mb Buff = Very slow loading, PSP freeze sometimes, unpacks and duplicates *.zip ROM to *.gba so uses more space. At least it does on a few other gpSP emulators, I don't know if that happens in your build...

I've reverted to build 152 anyway because it detects my PSP-2000 with 32mb Buff, so it's ok.
