After scouring the internet all day & trying various roms for the 1986 arcade game "Out Run", I still for the life of me cannot get it working properly on my psp mame emulator. It runs at like 5fps at best, so I'm guessing either the ROM's I have are jacked up, or more likely I'm doing something wrong.
At first I was slightly confused with arcade rom's needing a "parent" ROM, but I managed to get Aliens vs Predator working flawlessly. I did the same thing with Out Run, got the parent ROM, and still horrible unplayable frame rate.
For what it's worth, I'm currently using Final Burn Alpha v12.4.0 on a PSP 3000 running 6.60 PRO-B10. I'm come to the conclusion of 1 of 2 things, either I'm not pairing this "parent" ROM thing properly, or I'm not using the right MAME emulator, cuz I know there's a few different MAME emulators that can only run certain games properly.
Any help would be appreciated guyz, I just wanna play an old classic on my PSP.
