MVSPSP 2.3.5 Slim: Cache doesn't work?

Post by SeongGino » Fri Jan 30, 2015 2:56 am

I recently acquired the newest version of MVSPSP, and after rebuilding the ROMset I had gathered previously on my PSP Go as I had also recently gotten my hands on a PSP 03g with 6.20 LME 2.3, all was well and good... until it came to games that needed the external cache folders.

To make it clear, the ROMs are all working as they are, cache or no cache requirement. All the games load as they should with no error. However, as soon as it hits the point to read from the cache files, it crashes the system.

For the cache files, I used the "slim_all" batch to convert all to what I thought was the Slim formatted files, and have yet to try the normal versions. Another thing to note; CPS2PSP, which also uses cache files, works perfectly on the same system using it's respective slim-formatted batch file.

Anyone else with the same issue by any chance, or can test for themselves to comfirm and find a solution to this? Like I said, normal small ROMs that don't need the cache work perfectly, it's only those that DO need the cache.

I found that disabling the extended memory in ME settings makes it work - same for CPS2PSP (doesn't require cache though)
