Need opinions about GPSP.

Post by kingswill » Sat Nov 29, 2014 10:57 am

I'm not sure what I should use, UO GPSP Kai 3.5 Mod or GPSP Kai 3.4 Test 3 Build 152?

I mainly just want to play Pokemon games like Emerald, Fire Red, Mystery Dungeon, etc. And use cheats.

Also, what kind of settings should I have? I heard it crashes if you use cheats, so I have to turn on "Fake Fat". But, those are with older versions. Would I need it.

Use GPSP Kai 3.4 Test 3 Build 152. It's the best IMO. You can Also try GPSP-J because it runs some game that Kai 3.5 and Kai 3.4 can't run properly (GTA advance is one example). If you want to play Pokemon then you should have no problem with any of the Kai versions as they all pretty much ran any pokemon game I've thrown at them.

I never know why codebreaker format codes can't support by GPSP (only action replay)... someone know? XD

You might wanna check out TempGBA4PSP. It's the only PSP GBA emu that can run 'Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories', and has the overall best compatibility and performance.

Here's the latest version (10-13-2013):

Actually all you need to do on gpsp Kai is make and load a savestate when the opening video freezes.
Rest if the game plays fine till you get to the ending FMV which will require the save/load trick again.

Just a little tip for folk that want to keep using Kai.
