MAME question? Can this be done???

Hi looking for some help with regards to MAME emulation. I'm trying to get the MAME version of Pigskin 621 AD running on my PSP(2000 PRO 6.60 C2) as the Genesis port SUCKS. I'm quite accomplished when it comes to emulation but this has me stuck. :?
As far as I can tell it has to do with the chipset this game used and the emu used to run it. Basically I would like to know if emulating this game is possible on my PSP and what emu to use if it is as I've had no luck researching myself.

I am not sure I understand what are you asking.
Are you asking if it is possible to emulate that game on the Vita using a MAME emulator?

If so here is a list of all of the games supported by MAME4ALL PSP, which I am afirad I do not see your game (the file you are looking for is pigskin.zip)

No it's a PSP 2000 Slim. I have MAME4ALL running fine on it but I understand that the only version of this that runs on the Slim is the one with no NeoGeo or CPS1 emulation. I'm fairly sure it's because of this that Pigskin isn't on the games list and why it doesn't run in MAME4ALL on the Slim. I know there are other emus specifically for these chipsets but I've had no luck in finding which, if any, will run Pigskin on my PSP Slim.

Sorry if I didn't make that clearer in the OP.

Well regardless if it is a Vita or PSP 2000 Slim, based on what I have found none of the arcade emulators 'support' Pigskin.
Now if that means if you played with the source you could get it to work, I am not sure.
Mostly due to many of these emulators (aside from NJEMU) are not really active in their development.

ALTHOUGH, when RetroArch comes to PSP (in the supposed near future) you might be able to get an emulator that lets you play Pigskin for the arcade.

Thought it was strange that I was finding so little on the subject in my own search, turns out it hasn't been done is why.
Thanks for the help Melon I will definitely keep a lookout for RetroArch on PSP.
