Help with Emulator Installation Please

Post by deanasbury » Thu Sep 18, 2014 2:37 pm

Hey Everyone

I'm new to the scene and i've looked around but haven't found anyone having the same issue.

Basically i've exploited my ps vita with the Patapon 2 exploit and installed 6.60.

I followed the instructions in the emulator bible on here and got picodrive to work in the exact way it should.

I repeat the process with several other emulators including Snes9x, gPSP, Masterboy etc. I transfer them but when i get back into 6.60 and click on the card under games the loading circle in the bottom right appears and never goes, the ps vita is essentially stuck.

Has anyone else had this issue and knows how i can get around it? Am i doing something wrong?

Thanks

Never had this issues, but i will try my best to help.
Try downloading the Emulators here
Inside the downloaded archive, is another archive [HOMEBREWNAME].ZIP. you have to put this Zipfile in your
savegame, not the archive you downloaded.
In TN-V highlight the homebrew, hit triangle and select install.
After that, go to video>memorycard and now back to games.
your installed homebrew should be working now.

If non of this helped, try using FTP to copy the homebrew folder ( the folder that contains the eboot.pbp) into /PSP/Game/.
However, to do that, you need to install VitaFTP as described above. You also need a FTP client like Filezilla on your PC.
Enter the IP that VitaFTP shows into "Host" field in Filezilla and hit quickconnect.

This sounds as though it's likely the issue, if you're clicking on a folder w/ a lot of ROMs and it happens. If so, just create subfolders (like #AB, CDE, etc.) or however you like. Just make sure you don't store more ROMs in a folder than the emu "approves of" lol.

This always happens when you have a huge ZIP in your savedata. Best bet is run PSPFiler from recovery menu, and extract to PSP/GAME/ then delete the ZIP from your savedata.

----

Or not huge, but if the ZIP contains tons of files it won't even load your game list.
Does it quit? If not, then it's legit... Too legit.
