PS1 Emulator/games help

Hello there,
I've been trying to get some PS1 games (Using ROMs from other sites) onto my PSP. I believe the emulator is already "built in" to the PSP, as I have Crash Team Racing which we bought from the PSN store and that runs fine.
I tried running another PS1 game, using Popstation to convert it but I just got "The game could not be started. (FFFFFFFF)"

I'm running Pro CFW 6.60 and not really sure what to do now and I couldn't seem to find much about it.
