DOSBox on PSP core=dynamic only works for 26.11.07 builds

Post by dsync89 »

I had spent the past few days trying to get DOSBox running on my PS Vita after exploiting it using the NumBlast game.

Here are my attempts so far:
So far only the build from 26.11.2007 works when I enabled core=dynamic. Subsequent builds such as 03.08.2008, 26.07.2008, 07.06.2008 simply dump a 'bus error', 'data error', or 'inst error' when using the same settings. This issue had been reported by other users as well such as BrandeX here.

Surprisingly, all of the build works with either core=simple or core=normal. However, there is very noticable lag when using such settings.

So my question is, is there any other build that will work with core=dynamic settings after the 2007 one?

There is no DOSBox emulator that works on TN-V
I've tried pretty much all of them.

I'm not sure about previous TN-V builds but the latest one, TN-V8 works fine running the 07 and 08 builds of DOSBox with core=simple or core=normal. core=dynamic only works with build 26/11/07.

I even created a simple tutorial guide here showing how it can be done.

Hope someone can troubleshoot the problem so that even the 08's builds of DOSBox can run with core=dynamic settings.
