Running CD games on PCE for PSP v.0.83D6
Running CD games on PCE for PSP v.0.83D6
I was able to figure out how to run my TG16CD games on Hugo PSP, but they run like ***. I thought the process would be the same as Hugos, but it's not? I don't know. No matter what format I rip my images to (tried all combos of cue, iso, mp3, wav, and toc) nothing works. It doesn't help that the docs for the emulator are in Japanese. Can anyone help me out and tell me what I'm doing wrong? CDs work on real hardware and bin/cue work in Ootake when mounted. Thanks.

Re: Running CD games on PCE for PSP v.0.83D6
There's another TG-16/PCE emu out there for the PSP called "TURBO GFX 16", by Illegal Machine. This was the first TG-16/PCE emu I ever installed on my PSP. It was released back in 2007. It's really good imo, though PSPHUGO def has some much better aspects to it. This does play Super-CD & CD-ROM games, and pretty well...much better than PSPHUGO (PSPHUGO's Achilles heel). Just tested the CD-ROM based games the other day, and was pretty impressed. I remember PSPHUGO running them very choppy/laggy. You'll need the Super CD-ROM & CD-ROM BIOS files to run the CD-based ROMs though (not included). I UL'd it for anybody interested. It's def worth checking out, imo.

Link:

Oh, and I haven't been able to test it on the Vita yet, so I have no clue if we can eCFW/VHBL this thing up or not.

I'll try to get some more info together on that emu. I also have another obscure, but very good, PSP TG-16 emu I'm gonna upload.

Re: Running CD games on PCE for PSP v.0.83D6
What kind of CD games can these PC emulators run ? Is it limited to a producer like Sierra or Lucas Art's point and click games or they can run newer adventure games ?
There are small size and low system demanding new games such as this, any chance of emulating it on PSP ?

That was definitely a very high expectation from PSP
