Issues with gpSP Kai (SOLVED)

Post by St33lDr4g0n » Sun Jan 06, 2013 7:27 pm

Greetings

I am having issues with playing Advance Wars 2. In some tutorials/battles where a character would normally be talking, the dialogue box would be invisible.
I know for a fact that the dialogue IS scrolling though. You can't see the box but you'll still hear that "brrrrrrrrt" sound that indicates the words being printed out.

I'm using gpsp kai ver. 3.4 test 3 build 152 (This IS the latest kai, right?)

My settings are:
-GFX Filtering: yes
-Frameskip type: auto
-Frameskip value: 9
-Frameskip variation: uniform
-Audio emulation: yes (dunno if this matters but imma put it on anyway)
-Audio buffer size: 4096 bytes

-Clock speed: 300MHz
-Update backup: auto
-Enable home: no
-Debug mode: yes (What does this do?)
-Fake fat: yes (My Pokemon hacks crash the emu without it)
-Boot mode: game cart

So can anyone figure out what the problem is?

Thanks in advance :D

Update: updated to build 152, problem still persists. New settings have been added!
Update: SOLVED

I'm having issues running the GBA game "Batman Begins" on UO GPSP Kai v3.4 test 3 build 92
(Pretty sure its the latest version on Wololo.net)
The game boots alright, and is playable for a bit, then it will randomly reset itself, showing the GBA gameboot. I have tried messing with the settings a bit - it was not very effective...
I tried savestating every few seconds of gameplay, but this eventually led to a savestate where I would load it, walk a couple of steps, then the game would reset. Any suggestions?
PS My GBA bios is fine (tested on other alternate J and Mod versions of GPSP, with Batman Begins, and works perfectly, though I would rather continue using UO kai, as the UI and XMB logos are nicer than the others I have tried)

Thanks,

Darth Agnon
