DaedalusX64 reaches revision 777

Post by cojobe » Wed Sep 05, 2012 2:12 am

The psp scene may have faded, but not DaedalusX64, not today, It has come out with a new update, Here is the log-

“Today I just merged all the changes Corn and I been cooking in the private branch to the DX64 branch.
Over 100 changes since our last merge, to sum up things.

Faster – Alot of work was put into the dynarec, also a new option options was added “Dynarec Doubles Optimisation” (Is found in Advanced options, make sure to turn it ON before starting a game), which gives a speed up, mostly in games that use double opcodes heavily.

More compatibility – More games work, Cruisn’ USA, Toy Story 2, A bug’s Life, Flying Dragon and probably others (Note: Some of these games are highly buggy, hopefully we can improve them eventually)

So there you go! Looks like that mario 64 isn't so bad after all eh?
Cheers!

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. :)
Hopefully Goldeneye is faster, but I doubt it.

Well, that's because a PSP is not meant to play N64 Roms. But there's a solution: when you launch a rom in DaedalusX64 (or you can press the home button in a game), go to "EDIT PREFERENCES" then change the audio between synchorous (slow) or asynchorous (fast & buggy). I personally don't use sound on Hot Wheels Turbo Racing so that it works good, but audio on Super Mario 64 is excellent.
