How do i get the cheats fuction to work on snes9x euphoria

Whenever i add cheat codes to snes9x euphoria it says "changes may require a reload to take effect" how do i fix this?

Well, that means u have to close the emulator and open it again. May that works?

I'm not sure since i've never used cheats on Euphoria. For me the non working are the save states.
