Malware Problem.. AGAIN ):

Post by Blue.Gazer » Thu Aug 25, 2011 5:17 am

soo.. I still have Malware even though I already did Malware scans like Malwarebytes and Iobit Malware Software. Iobit's Malware is better than Malwarebytes because it gave me more results. I've got 13 and I believe Iobit already fixed it. But I still have it because Google Chrome keeps redirecting me when I try to open a Wikipedia result (like, "what is yugioh?" for example) using Google. Then it redirects me to some random site, but if I click Back <- sometimes it still redirects me or sometimes it does not. I'm only having trouble with this problem in Google Chrome. Firefox runs fine but it's pretty slow for me and sometimes it shows me incomplete images. I also reinstalling Google Chrome. Does anyone else here knows how to fix it. I don't know if I should reformat my Laptop just because of this.

I've found Spybot Search and Destroy quite effective for anti-malware.
Also, CCleaner is useful for wiping the free space on your HDD, as malware often may hide there. On Windows, many programs simply delete malware, which, due to how windows functions, only files it as valid to overwrite, and, as such, can still be doing all the bad things, even when you think it may be gone. CCleaner with a wipe free space run, has fixed malware issues for me more than once.

I use Google Chrome with the "AdBlock" extension and it works just fine for me. I also use NIS 2011, which also works great and I never have problems with adware, malware or spyware on my laptop. I have Malware bytes but I think I've only had to use it 3 or 4 times this year.

If you're knocking Google Chrome what do you suggest he uses ToBsucht? Firefox? I've had more problems with Firefox than any other browser made (including IE)

Stick with Google Chrome and get some add-ons/extensions for it.
