Yup, although I'd like the latest GNOME3, the current one is a bit old (think Fedora 18 old), the latest one is really nice.

I need to do spring cleaning on this Windows 8 Desktop though...

That's a whole lot of icons dude! Can you hide the 'start button' in Windows 8.1? I'm thinking of upgrading, but I don't want that start button there, I like not having a start button at all, considering that I don't even use the hot corner, pressing the key is so much easier.
