lol a fellow 10.04 user? cool, but i guess you also dual mount with windows, so you prbly don't have the issues i have with psp stuff, right?

Nah, I hate WINDOWS...
And this computer only has Ubuntu. I messed Windows up when installing Ubuntu. Now I am glad that I did :D
But for video converting I still need Windows :ugh: so there is a laptop with Windows 7 (however it is quadriple boot woth Kubuntu, Fedora, Ubuntu)

i got like 2-3 video encoders that seem to work mostly fine. i got Arista Transcoder, Avidemux+, and PiTiVi Video Editor.

are any of them good? which one is best? transmageddon doesn't work and I can't install pspvc

you need CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack for pspvc in-order for it to work & be installed;)
but i dont think it's compatible with your os....
