Help choosing GPU!

So Christmas kicked in and i have some extra funds! Now I would like to get a graphics card so I can(among other things) play Skyrim and hopefully Fallout in something other than low with a bunch of optimization mods!
Now the PC I have only has PCIe x1 slots so I am rather limited and yes I know there are x16 to x1 converters but we will get to that
Now I have been googling and I found these

Now considering I am currently using integrated Radeon HD 3000 what would be the best one? I know anything is an upgrade from the HD 3k but still
OK now we talk converters
so is it worth it to get one? I know a x16 card will run at x1 speed but would it run better then the x1 cards?

So, how much are we talking? My recommendation is to try to put some of that money towards a nice little MSI motherboard and an AMD CPU. That way you get access to putting in a full length PCIe x16 GPU

Actually a friend is giving me his GTX 460 when he gets another GPU
I need to get a x16 to x1 adapter but hey it'll work :3

A direct motherboard connection will always be superior especially if its an adaptor. If it were a x1 extension and vice versa, it would be good. Having a direct connect to a adaptor wont be the smoothing ride.
I highly recommend building a whole new PC in the future

I'll tell you what when I can "player.additem 00000000F 1000" then i'll be glad to build one
(thats the command for 1k gold in Oblivion BTW :3)

Oh, by the way, if you plan to play Battlefield 4 or something, I highly recommend you check out the deal on Newegg where you can buy good MSI boards for around $70 to $90 and you get BF4 for free. So you basically pay about $10 - $30 for a motherboard (depending on the one you get) I would get the board anyhow if you buy BF4, that way you have something to start a future build on
(Or, you know, if your current PC goes out and you need a replacement board. Which by then, you could get a could AMD APU)

Looks good. A few things to take in consideration is too change the power supply to a Corsair cx750 (maybe a modular (cx750m), which is 10000% easier to manage)
And to upgrade the cooler more to a Hyper 212 Evo. Also, RAM. Corsair, Adata, Patriot and G.Skill have awesome RAM.
I'd also recommend an SSD to have your OS on
EDIT: I would also recommend choosing one of these GPUs. They have a bit better performance than the 660 for around the same price.

The plan was to take some parts from my current PC to reduce cost
I have 500GB HDD and 6GB RAM which I assume are GDDR3

Yeah, as long as the RAM is DDR3, its good. In some cases, the OS you have installed can be corrupt on new hardware. This mainly happens with Windows 8.1 for me.
