Cannot access PSP on Linux

Post by SMOKE » Sat Mar 30, 2013 12:01 am

Ok, so long story short, the family cat slept on my computer last night while I was charging my PSP via USB.
I went to add a homebrew to it today, and found out my PSP is set to Read Only.
I have tried chmod, but it just says the obvious that its read only.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Hmm... might not have mounted or unmounted correctly.

I don't know which distro you're using but try this out in the terminal.

Code: Select all

ls /dev | grep sd
The main drive should be sda, if there are others such as sdb, sdc, etc., then try unmounting them. Example,

Code: Select all

umount /dev/sdb
If that doesn't work then the only other idea I have is to copy your files to your computer and formatting your MS.

Which version of linux are you running?

I've been running spins of Ubuntu 11.04/12.04 and have noticed that whenever I add an ISO to my psp, it locks all the folders. The only thing that seemed to permanently fixed it was a re-install, but it went away whenever I restarted my system as well, soo... :?
