http://www.littlepc.com/product/lpc-100 ... l-mini-pc/

this computer is windows compatible and is 6inches by 4 inches

which is slightly large, probably the size of a galaxy note, or a bit bigger according to the details it has a "small form factor computer that measures a little larger then a deck of playing cards."

as far as power supply you could most likely rig it to some type of battery supply. You would probably have to manufacture a proprietary battery that is rechargeable. Wiring and power aren't exactly my specialty, thought about being an electrical engineer but chose game design instead.

I like thinking of the end user, this has the potential to be used by the masses for everyday life and remove a lot of technology that we use today. As far as a personal device I think thats being selfish.

if i were to create a set-up such as this i wouldnt want to have it for only personal use either; how ever i wouldnt want to market it either, i like the idea of share-ware.
thanks for the information on the mini windows pc. i think thats a better idea, very compact. its nearly the same size as my ps vita, add an inch or 2. looks promising, though its a little pricey for me. would it be cheaper to try to build this from scratch?

Perhaps you could pick up the parts for under $400 as long as you can find the proper size motherboard, however the nano motherboards I was able to find do not specify the dimensions. Give me sometime and perhaps I can give you a parts list that would make it possible.

Here is a barebone kit for $262.00 that supports windows installation, If you were to vaccuform your own case you could knock a few inches off of the height, and perhaps the width and length too. I think this computer is adorable, if your have cargo shorts it should fit in the pocket as is. It uses a Pico ITX Motherboard. Which in your first post I noticed that you mentioned something about Pico projector, fairly certain this is not the same as what you were speaking of. Also this has 2 usb ports for extra accessories. And you could probably hook up a 3g or 4g wireless card for on the go. As far as power goes you maybe able to hook up some sort of battery and a solar panel for it.

I think i like this company seems pretty cool heres a quad core system with the same size board for $359.00, No case it seems though. Or ram, or hard drive included.
