prublem with ram

hi i have this trouble i got in my pc 4gb of ram and i instal 4gb more i use the win-7 64bit and a intel i7

the trouble is that i have 8gb of ram but the pc only says 3,47gb usable but the pc recognize the 8 gb of ram i dont get it why it does not says 8gb

try check device manager settings & scan for new hardware, if it doesnt help check again ur RAM card slot, maybe there's problem with the contact point

Also try checking both your CPU and your motherboard specifications to ensure the RAM type, size, and clockspeed you used is compatible with them.

Also make sure your system is definitely 64 bit. Because it looks like you've got an 32 bit system
if you need help finding out what version you got just ask and i can post a simple tutorial

could just be one of these four problems :

1. no 64-bit system
2. ramspeed of ram doesn´t match to the motherboard
3.the new ram conflicts with old ram (different manufacturer)
4.broken ram or dimm-slot

cause you wrote "only 3.47GB usable" i think its a 32/64bit problem,since that amount of ram is max used by 32bit machines
