I have a choice for a MacBookPro or a PC
What should i buy??

PC of course. Same hardware, same power with a lot less money (which you can use to buy more advanced hardware or other stuff). Macs really are only worth for Mac OS X.

Agreed. If you want open source and want to save some $$$ you could stop by mircrocenter and pick up one with ubuntu! :idea:

Why even bother buying a premade PC,

Building it is much more fun! :D

i would say get a pc and dual boot windows 7 and ubuntu or do what i do get a pc and burn a few linux live distros so when u want to just put in the disk and reboot into linux
