Do people buy MAC for the Shell?
Do people buy MAC for the Shell?
So all of my friends that have a MAC boot into windows to play PC games, which makes me wonder, did they buy a MAC just for the pretty surface? I mean if you spend most of your time booted into windows anyways, why not just get a PC. So I am wondering, do others do this as well
Re: Do people buy MAC for the Shell?
I use a Mac for work and I carry only 1 laptop with me when I'm on business trips. So I have both Mac OSX and Windows running on my Mac.
Also I run multiple VMs on my Mac for Cross Browser Optimization. I know there are a lot of Apple haters out there and I know their products are ridiculously expensive but they are reliable, they're mostly immune to viruses or trojans (I know people will disagree with me), they have no driver issues and they don't bluescreen of death on you.
EDIT: And they're still pretty powerful for gaming. I could run Tera Online on max settings without any fps issues (2011 model i7 15").

Re: Do people buy MAC for the Shell?
I don't dislike MAC I just never understood why kids buy them to dual boot to play video games, and then they boot MAC OS to surf the web. I'm just curious if this is happening in my little bubble of the universe or of is it a general thing that people do.
Re: Do people buy MAC for the Shell?
The only reason I would use a Mac is when I'm designing 3d stuff.
Mac's can (investigate) search Apps for (efficient) useful tools, it is helpful when your app has over 300 tools.
It is an (superior) extra tab in every app called Search, basically a search bar for tools.
To this day I still do not understand why (our rival) Windows hasn't implemented this feature.
Other than that no, unzipping (opening) things is a pain on a Mac.
It crashes (is not responding) when I'm rendering 80% of the time.
I have used 3 Macs for over 4 years.
