Re: Macintosh OS X on PC
Probably doesn't take much to run Mac OS X anyways
But yeaa it was leaked a while ago, and I've seen it installed on some PC's. I believe you can also install XP on Mac, or so I've heard.

Re: Macintosh OS X on PC
You may find it hard to belive but mac os x acually has a program called boot camp that dual boots my uncle has it on his mac
Re: Macintosh OS X on PC
Installing other operating systems on an Intel Mac is not a big deal since PC OS are designed to run on pretty much any hardware configuration. If Apple wouldn't have gone the EFI route instead of a regular bios, you could most likely do it without bootcamp.
For running MacOS X on a non-Mac you have two options:
- run it in VMWare (it officially only supports MacOS X Server, but you can still run the regular version with it)
- build a PC that has hardware components which OSX has drivers for, you will still have to apply some patches to the system though
That being said, doing any of the two options above violates the EULA.

I'm curious, what's so great about Mac compared to Windows?

Then why do people pay for Macs come to mind. $1000+ machine to play crappy games and run useless and proprietary software, waratte wrote:It's not.Phillyphries wrote:I'm curious, what's so great about Mac compared to Windows?
Or build/buy a PC for $600+ to play great games and run every software and emulation?

Re: Macintosh OS X on PC
Nothing. But macOS is required to develop for iOS (iPhone and iPad) which are the easiest way to make money nowadays on the mobile market. That's the only reason I could see on top of my head to run macOS on a PC.Phillyphries wrote:I'm curious, what's so great about Mac compared to Windows?
Apple products are like luxury. There is no "technical" reason behind the price of their products, they just sell it for the price people are ready to pay for it.Then why do people pay for Macs come to mind. $1000+ machine to play crappy games and run useless and proprietary software,

If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.
