The only solution out of this is restarting the computer.
What maybe the problem..?

Same applies if you burn it on a disc. Most computers are set to boot up from the HDD by default, especially if you bought it with Windows preinstalled. As for the "while the device is connected part", I think he means that if you use a USB stick, you'll have to boot your computer with the stick inserted, then go to the BIOS settings.nisarg_kolhe wrote:PS. If you never booted from a USB device, you may need to change Boot sequence in your BIOS settings while the device is connected and bring the USB device on top, some PCs don't need it though...
Thanks for pointing that out! I don't know about other PCs, but my 2 laptops and 1 desktop doesn't need it, they directly boot from the CD if its bootable, It maybe because I never tried to run my own burnt CD, but one from the manufacturer itself, I have no idea about the other PCs though!Xian Nox wrote:Same applies if you burn it on a disc.

The default boot order on my PC was Floppy > HDD > CD/DVD. For my laptop, it was HDD > CD/DVD. Also, there's no difference if you burnt it yourself or have bought it.nisarg_kolhe wrote:Thanks for pointing that out! I installed Ubuntu.. Using the first option i.e install side by side... But now i cannot boot into windows.. If i click on windows in the grub boot menu.. The screen goes black for around 3 seconds.. Then it returns back to the same boot menu.. Should i update grub.. Or is there any other solution...m0skit0 wrote:Wubi sucks. Install Ubuntu the way it's meant to be installed, or use a VM.
