C++ help

I began to learn the language but I'm terribly annoyed!!!!! i write, a code and tipe it in dev c + + , click compile and start, i only get three files on my desktop. .cpp, .dev and .win i don't get exe file and the program does not start! Also it finds two errors could not fount D: / desktop /..... something like that. At first I thought that my program might might not work but then I copied exactly the same code from the book and i get same thing help!
