Steam games on ubuntu?

i was just wondering if anyone here had any luck/experiece installing and using steam (or windows games in general) on ubuntu ...?

i have been trying in serveral diffrent ways along with a friend to to try and set this up to work, i at least got steam "installed" now and i even installed a couple of games i bought in the store too, but it seems i still got a couple of issues here i need to resolve somehow, before it will actually start the games from steam ...

let me know about your experice with games/steam on linux, maby you even got a few tips that will help others along the way too ...?

i allready got steam installed and it almost opens the games (and i do know how to use google as well ) ... i was just interested in hearing other ppl's coments on this.

btw did you get any games started using that guide or did you just install steam ..?

well, you didnt mention anything about installing it through wine, so i thought maybe that was the issue

lol ... nah im not a **** and im useually pretty good at getting stuff to work, but this seems to bee kind of a tuff nut to crack ...
